PLATINUM SOLUTIONS ACHIEVES
PRESTIGIOUS CMMI® SW MATURITY LEVEL 2

Integrating Process Improvement Practices Across Engineering and
Management Teams
Reston, VA (December 13, 2005) - Platinum Solutions Inc., a fast-growing, award-winning systems integrator serving the U.S. government, has attained the Software Engineering Institute's Capability Maturity Model Integration SW Maturity Level 2. The prestigious CMMI® designation demonstrates Platinum Solutions' proficiency in implementing process improvement best practices across a broad software product development life cycle-from conception to delivery and maintenance.
By obtaining CMMI SW Maturity Level 2, Platinum Solutions joins a select group of companies worldwide that have obtained a Level 2 rating. The designation validates Platinum Solutions' commitment to establishing and implementing effective processes that enable the development and delivery of quality software products on time and within budget to the benefit of customers. The assessment process is defined and monitored by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) of Carnegie Mellon University.
"This special achievement demonstrates our ability to implement rigorous processes while maintaining our dedication to the development of open, independent system architecture and solutions," said Adam Rossi, President of Platinum Solutions. "The CMMI designation is testament to the company's ability to integrate best practices related to performance reliability and continual improvement processes in an open system environment. Aligning these practices across engineering and management teams, the company is able to help clients better meet their business objectives. We are extremely proud of the employees in all of our departments for their focus and achievement on the CMMI. The 26-member multi-disciplinary team of staff and senior management labored continually for the last six months to obtain this important rating," said Rossi.
"Platinum Solutions has made a significant achievement in a short period of time, which shows their commitment and ability to implement process improvement for the benefit of the customer," said Mark Schilling of the Pocasset, Massachusetts-based company Integrated System Diagnostics, the SEI accredited lead appraiser who evaluated Platinum Solutions. "They showed a good commitment throughout the organization to achieve process maturity against the international standard in Level 2."
