Platinum Solutions, Inc. Selects Mark Boster
As Chief Operating Officer
Reston, VA (April 26, 2005) - Platinum Solutions announced today that Mark Boster has joined the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Dr. Boster has served on Platinum Solutions' Board of Advisors for the past year. He will be instrumental in building upon Platinum Solutions' 6 years of continued growth and its recognized reputation for delivering innovative technology solutions.
"Mark brings both broad and deep experience in building successful government-facing businesses," said Laila Rossi, Chief Executive Officer. "His understanding of the Federal government, strong business acumen, and technical skills are particularly important to Platinum Solutions as we begin to implement our recently awarded 8(a) designation."
Mark Boster carries with him nearly 30 years of organizational growth and business development experience. Before joining Platinum Solutions, he was an independent consultant to the Federal consulting industry. He was also a Senior Vice President and Director of Operations at ICF Consulting. Mark Boster has also been with Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), where he was most recently Group Senior Vice President with profit and loss responsibility for a large business unit.
Before joining SAIC, Mark Boster was the Deputy Assistant Attorney General for Information Resources Management and operated as the Chief Information Officer at the Department of Justice, where he managed a 340 person staff that included the largest fee-for-service business within the Department.
A Senior Executive Fellow at Harvard University, Mark Boster also served on the President's Commission on Critical Infrastructure Protection. He was named Federal Telecommunication Service Executive of the Year, and is a Federal 100 Industry Award recipient.
